Q: How to set up "some software" for use with HTTPort ?

Here is some general hints:

1. Your sotware should use TCP/IP. HTTPort does not work with UDP/IP.
2. If your software uses a single (small range of) fixed server with a single (small range of) fixed port:
For instance your sotware would like to connect to some.server.com:some_port. Create a new HTTPort mapping, with any local port, preferrably above 1024, remote server of "some.server.com" and remote port of "some_port". Point your software to 127.0.0.1:mapped_local_port as if it was the original server it needs.
3. If your software can connect through SOCKS4 proxy, point it to 127.0.0.1:1080, which is a built-in HTTPort SOCKS4 server.
